Hall - Wykeham Road -
Originally designed and built as two semi-detached cottages by Amos Wildes in 1829, it was known locally as North & South Swiss Cottage.
Converted to a hotel in 1931 with an incredible claim of 23 bedrooms, the building has undergone many variations and improvements.
It was known for a period of time as the Prince Regent, as depicted by the picture on the left.
It is sited in Amelia Park withing Park Crescent but access is via Wykeham Road only.

Beechwood Hall Hotel and Restaurant, as it later became, suffered some neglect over the years and, in 2010, Paul and Rose Willey took over with a much needed major facelift.
It was more recently taken over again by the Brewhouse & Kitchen chain in 2019 with an even larger overhaul eventually opening in May 2021 - delays caused because of Covid restrictions
The 'Brewhouse' part of the name isn't there to entice, they do actually brew their own craft beer on the premises. They offer courses on brewing as well as master classes on beer and gin.
One of the most striking aspects of the pub is its size, very roomy and well sectioned, with excellent gardens.
