Although seen primarily as a restaurant, is does have a bar. Formally farm buildings known as North Barn, it was converted in the 1990's.

Following a refit after closing on the 28th of February 2019, Swallows Return reopened on the 8th of March with a "cosy new look to reflect its rural charm and rustic character."
