Special thanks to Stuart Elms and Michael Clinch (MD of the Chatsworth Hotel) for solving the mystery of the building pictured left. Situated between the Stagecoach office and Bryces, (now Brio's), on the seafront, Marine Parade, stands a Thai restaurant that had been said was at one time a bar. Michael has since confirmed that this was indeed the Sunshine Bar. Forming part of the Steyne Hotel. It was one of three bars, the others being; the Steyne Lounge Bar (Brio's); the public bar, now the Shrewsbury Room within the Hotel itself.

 You can see from the picture what looks like a covered staircase and walkway in to the Chatsworth hotel.  We don't know if it is still functional. Today it is the Wandering Goose pub.
