WANDERING GOOSE - MARINE PARADE 2013
This seafront building dates back to the early 1800s and until recently had been a Thai Restaurant and before that, the Sunshine Bar - part of the Steyne /Chatsworth hotel.

Situated on the sea front to the right of the dome cinema, and almost rubbing shoulders with Brio Pizzeria. The building, now painted a dark shade of matt grey, is 'The Wandering Goose' owned and run by Nathan Wright, former landlord of 'The Geese Have Gone Over The Water' in Brighton, hence the current name! The Wandering Goose is a real ale and craft beer pub. The growing trend towards micro breweries, and real ale only outlets, have created a new niche in the market offering the drinking public a wider choice of specialist brews.

The interior is divided into two sections. The front door opens up into a reasonably spacious vestibule with seafront views. The bar itself is set on a lower level in a larger, painted, wood panelled room with over-head skylight. Fixtures and fittings include a run of reclaimed cinema seats. Functional wooden benches and tables are predominant and help towards keeping the atmosphere light and warming.

A large, south facing, outside seating area also feature these over-sized benches.

The Goose does benefit greatly from the south facing seated terrace.
