Verandah Cafe - 322 Goring Road - 2026 |

Originally a cafe of the same name, the then owners planed to
retire and sold the concern to friend Anya Clayton, who also owns
Rassasy & The Snug which has a micro bar tucked in the back, as well
as The Little Tipple Bar, both in Ferring. The cafe has a reputation for good food and service, something the new owners are keen to maintain. They have a beer on tap and some bottled but the range is limited. The emphasis is on the food and alcohol is an extra. |

As an interesting side note: It is understood that Anya has recently purchased a shop three doors along called Banham, a closed security business. Plans are, as we understand it, it will become a proper microbar, leaving Verandah to get on with what it does best. Although that would make four business's under her belt it is notable that they remain small, well placed and serve a local comunity, and presumably easier to manage. |
