The sedate world of green bowling is not the place you would expect to find a bar open to the public, especially one that promotes itself as a 'sports bar'.

Situated in Pavilion Road under the sign for 'Worthing Pavilion Bowling Club', you might just spot the sign in the entrance announcing 'Venue 5'.
Apparently, there has been a bar there since 2023, but it wasn't something they shouted about. We think 'Venue 5' was a recent relaunch.

I attended a private function there in July (you can hire it), and I have to admit, it's a large modern space within with a long bar.

There are, at the time of writing, draught beer, lagers, and cider on tap. A wide variety of bottled beers, a non alcoholic selection, Spirits, wines, and soft drinks.

Sky Sports is available, as well as darts and pool, quiz nights, and occasionally live entertainment and Karaoke. There is also a covered veranda with soft furnishings on the north side, where you can watch bowling.

What is not made clear are the opening hours.
