Tucked away in Stanford Square
just off Warwick Street resides the Tasting Room, an 'official
outlet' for the Merakai Brewery based in Uckfield.
If you know where Pizza Express is, then just look to your right
through the archway. Currently, it has limited opening hours, on
Thursdays, Fridays, and weekends.
The building itself, known as Little Stanford, dates back to
approximately 1910. It takes its name from the larger Stanford
Cottage next door, famed for being a temporary residence of Jane
Austen. Little Stanford stands on part of the grounds of what was
Bedford House. |

The Tasting Room specialises
in craft beer as well as alcohol free, spirits, soft drinks, and bar
snacks.
It has the usual facilities, two toilets, outside seating, Wifi and
is dog friendly.
Game nights on Thursday evenings as well as other up coming events
locally.
Caution: When we visited we discovered they only have limited
opening hours, usually the tail end of the week.
