Moon by Sea is the creation of Sam Lindsey, a local former musician, who has taken over the old chip shop in Goring Road, opposite Wallace Parade. He plans to be a café during the day and a bar at night.

That side of the street is also home to The Flynn, Elephant in the Room and Jonny's Kitchen and Bar. It is a thriving community. Sam hopes to offer specialty pasties and coffee during the day, and at night, Cocktails, a wine menu, and three draft beers.

Entertainment will be limited at acoustic only, at the time of writing.

It's not every day a couple of your Hollywood mates pop into your new bar.

Robert Pattinson (left), Twilight, Harry Potter, and The Batman. With him was Tom Sturridge (right), Being Julia, Like Minds, and The Boat that Rocked. The bloke in the middle is Sam Lindsey, who has been friends with them for over 30 years, and owns the place.
