Describing itself as a Microbar, The Little Tipple can be found in Ocean Parade, Ferringham Lane, South Ferring. They opened in the last days of December 2023.

We had visited in 2024, having discovered its existence by accident. At the time, it was a little stark, and sound echoed around easily off the hard surfaces.

Now, over a year later, it has settled into a cosy, warm, and inviting place with an eclectic collection of soft furnishings. It always takes a while for microbpub/bar to find its footing, and when they do, they become unique to themselves. You might spot a hint of influence of the Snug microbar in Ferring street, I think they are linked.

I always enjoy a 'before' picture, it shows the work that's gone into it. Prior to this it was Village Interiors, a specialist kitchen company, that just happened to be owned by a cousin of mine.

Ocean Parade, tucked away in South Ferring caters very much for the locals with no desire to expand because there is little need.

Was there a need of a microbar, yes I think there was, and for a very good reason. Just along the road was the Tudor Close, a very large public House and diner, very popular in its time, since turned residential, the Little Tipple fills that gap.

We do know they have a good and varied selection of local beers on tap, as well as a selection of wine and spirits.

They host various events, which often feature live entertainment. Facebook is the best place to keep up to date with what's going on along with opening times.
