We found this picture that
shows Paragon Street almost opposite the Lido. We can see the
Victorian building that Tony marked as 'The Fisherman' but we have
to bear in mind with the limited space on his sketch map he may
have been implying it was in that area, not necessarily that
building. My eye is drawn to the white building behind.
In 'Glimpses of Old Worthing'
by Edward Snewin and Henfrey Smail we discover this text:

Buildings, where in 1837 an inquest was held on Mrs Frances Smith, a
druggest, aged 101, at which a verdict was returned as 'Died by
