| Finally, its taken me up until October 2023 to actually get to visit this Goring Road Micro Pub. I made a point to arrive just as it was opening so I could get some clear shots of the inside. Was pleased to see that they have several beers on the go and rotate them to include local brews when possible. | |

The Elephant in the Room is officially open and welcoming visitors - 3pm to 10pm weekdays and 1pm to 10 pm weekends. I do believe this is the first new Micopub to open during the COVID19 restrictions instantly limiting its potential but first results appear to have been very positive with local support. |

In the summer of 2019 rumour abounded that another micropub was to open in the old Nat West bank in Goring Road - just a few doors along from the ever popular Georgi Fin. It would appear the gossip was true - Its going to be called The Elephant In The Room and is the work of Nathan Wright, the man behind the Goose on the seafront and the Libertine bar in Portland Road. |

Sadly The Elephant in the Room spring opening had to be cancelled due to the lockdown - hopefully this time will be put to good use and we look forward to seeing it completed mid summer onward. |
