BOTTLE & JUG - 21 SOUTHFARM ROAD

Okay, not technically a pub as such it does sell beer, you just can't drink it there. We debated for a while as to its merits on this site but decided it was better to mentioned it than not. Bottle &  Jug is the old term for an off licence that's usually part of a pub because takeaway beer was sold in bottles and yes, jugs. Neighbours would send a youngster with an empty jug and a few copper coins for a fill up from the beer tap, a time when things were very different.

I don't think you could find a wider, diverse selection of beer anywhere else in Sussex. Colourful cans of exotic beers and ales, classics and bottled Belgian specials, as well as a wide selection of wines.

We can safely say that this is Worthing's only independent craft beer shop. Tom Flint  opened the shop back in May 2018 with John and Aaron from the Brookstead Alehouse just a stones throw away.
