Beer No Evil was opened on the 26th of October 2018 by Gareth Harries and Gemma Clegg and describes itself as a craft beer shop and tap room.

As with another micropub owner I recently met, there seems to be an urge to get away from the label 'micropub' and interpret it differently.

My thoughts, a rose by any other name . . . .

Looking back at our visit back in 2018, we can see it's come a long way since. We should mention we're not a review site, just a recorder of history, but the place is much lighter and brighter than before, and clearly popular.

Being placed outside of the town centre on the eastern edge might seem a disadvantage, but organised events and a liking for craft beers have paid off.
